The wave was my final project for my furniture design class. Due to the covid 19 pandemic, we were never able to actually build our final project. The entire design exists digitally and it would be awesome to have the opportunity to build in real life sometime in the future.

I N T E N T
The wave is a table that emphasizes the language of transparency and layers between two different materials. I wanted to experiment with the idea of overlapping shapes in order to create a fully functioning piece of furniture. The table is meant to feel very simple and organic while still being interesting and engaging. The simplicity in its function contrasts the abstract shapes in order to create a piece that serves a purpose while also being straightforward and easy to understand.
